The development of China's refractory metal materials started in the tungsten and molybdenum processing industry.
Driven by the electric light source industry, tungsten and molybdenum wire are made in early 1950s.In 1953, the first domestic tungsten wire was developed, the first domestic molybdenum wire was developed in 1954.Large tungsten and molybdenum material production plant was completed in 1958.In the 1970s, a group of backbone enterprises of refractory metal materials were built to form a processing system. In the 1980s, the production capacity of processed materials increased significantly. In the 1990s, comprehensive research and development of high-tech refractory metal materials such as tungsten, molybdenum, niobium and tantalum. In the 21st century, the companies continue to develop in the direction of improving the technical level and deep processing level, achieving simultaneous growth in quality and output.
