How to forge TZM molybdenum alloy bars?

TZM molybdenum alloy hot deformation processing is more difficult, especially the molybdenum alloy round bar, if it is directly forged without hot extrusion deformation, the yield of TZM alloy rod is quite low. Therefore, the sintered molybdenum alloy ingot should first be hot-extruded and then forged. If the heating temperature and the amount of deformation during hot extrusion and forging can be reasonably controlled, the mechanical properties of the TZM alloy can reach the ideal state. Since TZM alloy is a brittle material, it is easy to produce cracks during forging, so large deformation and rapid forging must be used during forging.
