Deep processing of tungsten is not easy because of its brittleness.
1.Joint method:including mechanical joining, fusion welding, electric resistance welding, brazing, diffusion welding, vapor deposition, and combinations of these methods
2.Machining:The best way to machine is to heat the workpiece to 343~371°C. Pre-sintered tungsten, heavy alloy and copper or silver-infiltrated tungsten can be processed at room temperature.When the conventional machining facing difficulty, EDM can be used.
3.Tungsten forming processing:DBTT (ductile-brittle transition temperature) is declined as the deformation increases.When it is lower than DBTT, tungsten is brittle and cannot be processed,tungsten can be processed only when it is higher than DBTT.So DBTT is the lower limit temperature of tungsten forming,the recrystallization temperature of tungsten is the upper limit temperature of tungsten forming process.
